A 33-year-old transperson was shot dead and another injured in Meerut on Thursday by unidentified assailants, police said. The incident took place this morning when the duo was going to Gola Kuan and some unidentified persons fired at them, PTI reported.
While one person died on the spot, the injured was rushed to a hospital and is stated to be in a stable condition. PTI said the police suspected an internal feud among the transgenders as a reason behind the murder
