NDA government has released the list of people who will be awarded Padma Bhushan on Jan 26th. Among the awardees is yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev had actively campaigned against decriminalization of homosexuality by the Delhi High Court in 2009 and along with other groups, had petitioned the Supreme Court to overturn the judgement. He has also, on various occasions, called homosexuality as unnatural and a disease, claiming he can cure it with yoga.
A total of 148 people will be awarded the Padma Bhushan on Jan 26. LK Advani, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth will also be conferred the awards.
