‘Straight to Normal’, the autobiography of Sharif D Rangnekar, was launched in Delhi yesterday. Published by Rupa Publications, the book is an autobiographical account of Sharif’s life and tells how as a gay man he had to battle bouts of confusion, vulnerability, depression and find the courage to speak for himself and others like him. Sharif D Rangnekar is a communications consultant and former journalist who has held senior positions at The Economic Times and The Pioneer, before leading Integral PR as its CEO and laters as its chairman.
The book launch was followed by a panel discussion with Sharif and noted lawyers Anand Grover and Vivek Divan. Both Mr. Grover and Mr. Divan have been involved in the 377 case. The panel was moderated by Sonal Kalra, Managing Editor- Entertainment, Hindustan Times.
