The Bangalore chapter of student support group Queer Campus held a LGBT carnival this Saturday on 4th May. The carnival, in its 2nd year, is the annual event by Queer Campus Bangalore to raise awareness about the queer community and Queer Campus Bangalore, which offers a space for youngsters to come out, share their experiences and have fun.
The carnival saw a footfall of nearly 600 people. There were around 22 stalls in the flea market, which was termed “Cheaper By The Dozen”. The stalls ranged from delicious cupcakes and homemade jams and chocolates, to paintings, accessories, T-shirts etc. Throughout the day, there were various events like music and dance performances, poetry reading to keep the crowd engaged. The grand finale was a fashion show, where models from within the community walked the ramp showcasing creations by Manjunath.
