A 26-year old man was gang-raped by 4 men at Monkey Park in southeast Delhi’s Govindpuri area and also attacked with a stone, according to a report in Deccan Chronicle.
The incident happened on January 29, and the survivor told police that he knew one of the accused men among the four. A resident of Tughlakabad Extension, the survivor was on his way to meet his aunt living in Sangam Vihar around 9pm and was crossing Monkey Park when he was called by one of the accused, and soon overpowered and raped by all four men in a nearby jungle. They also beat him with a stone on his head when he tried to protest.
He later informed the police, who took him to to AIIMS Trauma Centre. A case was also registered under Section 377. The accused have been identified and would soon be arrested, said a police officer.
