Jiya Pandya (she/they), a queer scholar from India working on disability studies and South Asian history, is completing a PhD in History and Gender and Sexuality Studies at Princeton University. Jiya is currently organizing with the International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal. They worked on the Campaign’s recent 20-city speaking tour of the U.S. by three Indian women, forging alliances with communities of color similarly victimized by petrochemical industries targeting them for dumping because they lack political clout.
