One of the most brutal and violent attacks that women face in India is in the form of acid attacks. Jilted lovers, or roadside romeos, throwing acid on the face of women scars the victim for life. There has been a campaign to end the open sale of acids too.
This powerful video stars Reshma Qureshi, 18, whose brother-in-law poured acid on her face. She has lost an eye in the attack. The video has been produced by Make Love Not Scars, and calls for an end to open sale of acid.
