10 Kinky Terms Every Gay Guy Needs to Know

kinky terms

The bar is very high for any gay guy who wants to be an important part of the LGBTQ community. Of course, we always have our arms and hearts open for every queer guy out there, but if you really want to know all the 411 and know exactly what everyone is talking about, there are some things that you need to know. Apart from recognizing and understanding all the popular culture references, there are things that you need to watch and follow as well. Let’s say you meet a guy who’s into some kinky stuff, you start chatting and all of a sudden you have to google a word. Buzzkill, right? Take a look at 10 kinkiest terms that every Gay guy needs to know:

1. Dom

One of the things that you will hear a lot is “dom” or “dom top”. Obviously, this stands for a dominant partner who likes to be in charge. However, there are two ways in which a person can play this. A “dom top” is most commonly a guy who prefers BDSM relationships and who likes to be the dominant one, as the name suggests. However, this term has a wider role in gay relationships, and it can also mean a top who likes to have things in control and to be the dominant one, without being in a BDSM relationship.

2. Switch

Even though this is mostly known as “uni”, a “switch” is also a term that is used for a person who’s into both topping and bottoming. This is also something that is widely used in the BDSM world, so if you like to be both a dom and a submissive bottom, this is you.

3. Sub

On the other hand, there is also the sub, which is shorter for “submissive”. As the term suggests, if in a BDSM relationship, one is a dom, then the other one is a sub. They are, in most cases bottoms, but bear in mind that behind the scenes, it is the sub who has the power in the relationship as his boundaries are very important.

4. Power bottom

Sometimes it is very difficult to differentiate tops and bottoms, as there are gay guys who look like tops, and yet they like getting it. So, if they are muscular, if they are manly and if they like to take the matter into their hands (or ass for that matter), they are power bottoms. Power bottoms very often use sex toys for men so sometimes they might not even need a top to satisfy them as they know how to do it themselves.

5. Safeword

This is one of the most important things and rules that a pair should establish before starting a BDSM relationship. A safeword can be anything, so choose one that you will use in case you start feeling any pain or start feeling uncomfortable.

6. Fisting

Fisting, or fist fuck as some might call it, is a process when your partner puts his fist into your bottom. This requires a lot of preparation, as this process is not enjoyable nor safe for everyone. Not only do you need to wear gloves in order to protect the tissue in the rectum from the nails, but you will need a lot of lube as well.

7. Pissing

Another kinky fetish that is gaining a lot of attraction and is quite popular even if many do not admit they like it (or would like to try it) is pissing, or piss play. This is a process in which a dom pisses on a sub, or vice versa, and both ejaculate. Most commonly, this is done in the mouth, even though there are gay guys who like pissing all over the body.

8. Edging

Since we are getting down with this -ing kinky verbs, it’s a good time to mention edging. Unlike fisting and pissing, edging is not a kinky fetish as such. This is a technique during which one partner brings the other partner very, very close to orgasm and then backs off. When the person cools down, the other one brings him back to the edge of the orgasm once again.

9. Sniffing

This is one of the painless fetishes that many love and it seems that its popularity is slowly gaining a lot of attention. Sniffing is, to put it simply, one partner sniffing the other’s dirty socks (most usually white) while they’re both getting off.

10. Nipple torture

Finally, it is very important to mention nipple torture as another fun kink. In order to stimulate the nipples, you can use not only your mouth, tongue and teeth, but other devices such as clamps, suction clamps, needles, etc.

If you want to be kinky, you need to know the language. This is a must-know for all the gay guys out there who are ready to get into different kinks yet do now know what to expect. Good luck!
