While the HIV epidemic might be gone, HIV infection (especially among gay men) remains very high. Much of the transmission of virus could be prevented if men used condoms regularly. And even if there are slips in condom usage, there are treatments available now to prevent HIV infection, like PeP and PrEP that one can take if one is having unprotected sex. Regular HIV tests can also help people be healthy as in case of an infection, treatment can start at the earliest. However, not many gay men know of all these options, or do not understand the significance.
This video by Humsafar Trust and Yaariyan, along with MTV SAF, features four men who talk about their own experiences and how the various options available to them helps them remain safe.
