While cracking jokes, we always use Banana to denote penis, as the fruit and the organ have a lot of resemblance. In other examples, Oranges or Peaches or even eggs are used to denote scrotum as they are round like balls, with delicate skin and are rougher and darker in terms of skin texture and complexion. This is often used to evoke laughter in comics, jokes, idioms, lectures or sometimes used to create sexual fantasies as well. But in reality, food items and fruits have a greater connection with sexuality that we mostly don’t value. Many a times we include those food items in our diet and I think we become beneficiaries of those nutritious items without knowing their worth.
1. Banana:
Twinnie to penis in majority of chats and discussions, banana is a rich meal in itself and heavy with nutrients. According to Mendes (2017) ,the major component of banana, that is potassium (K+), is highly impactful on cardio vascular system of the body, improving blood flow to organs and vessels, thus impacting blood flow to sexual organs and improvement in heart rate, resulting in a better sexual experience.
Minerals like manganese and magnesium are beneficial for prostate and banana is the reservoir for both these minerals. Balanced mode improves sexual experiences through glad moments and positive experiences that are enhanced in body because of tryptophan and once again Banana wins the title of positive food source for this building block of serotonin that effects mood, thus creating better sexual experiences.
2. Peaches, Oranges and Watermelon:
A research done at University of Texas supported a positive relation between daily consumption of Vitamin C and improved sperm count and motility. Research also supports incidences of infertile men successfully having children in later life when they included Vitamin C in their diet.
Men’s health (2013) and Fitness magazine (2017) describe that utilization of Watermelon has same effect as Nitric oxide in relaxing blood vessels and impacting erection. Arginine improves work of nitric oxide on body and this is catalyzed and enhanced by consumption of citrulline, which is part of the nutrition from watermelons.
3. Eggs:
Energy requirements have been associated with sexual activity since a long time. Protein in egg is best source of this. It is highly recommended to eat an egg after or before sex, as it improves calories and meets the energy requirements. In addition to energy, proteins are beneficial in maintaining focus that is highly required for a positive sexual experience. Sexual desires and libidos are associated with choice of sexual activity or motivation to initiate sexual activity, and vitamin B6 plays a driving role for sexual desires or libido in both men and women, and it can be attained by eating eggs.
4. Tea and coffee
Have you ever realized dates and meetup begin with tea or coffee and later on becomes part of spouses’ best choice of drink? Tea or coffee impacts moods of both partners, it has been observed. In case of women, drinks like coffee and tea enhances mood, improves blood flow to brain, energizing the brain power and increasing experience of sexual arousal positively. Antioxidants enhance blood cleansing and caffeine improves focus.
5. Fish and Sea food
A research done by a doctorate level sexologist revealed facts and figures related to positive enhancement of dopamine levels raised by content of Omega -3 present in fish items. The rise in levels of dopamine is good enough for sexual arousal. Like other sea water creatures, fish are sources of arginine, which works on widening vessels and providing enhanced erections. Anti-inflammatory nutrients in fish work with clotting as well and like other food sources their positive impact in cardiac health and sexuality is commendable.
Simon et al (2005) and Shifren’s (2006) studies describe the significance of providing external, synthetic or organic androgens through any means or sources to hypoactive women or post-menopausal women to improve sexual arousal, desires and activity. And we can see that fish or other sea food sources are high and rich food sources of androgen stimulants that can replace and even work better than artificial sources. Shellfish, crabs and lobsters are rich sources of androgen stimulants. Also, sea food is great source for zinc that helps in body wear and tear, cell growth and boosting immunity – highly required for children entering puberty.
