Sridhar Rangayan, who won a National Award for his documentary Breaking Free, is back with a feature film this time. Set in South India and Mumbai, ‘Evening Shadows (Surmaee Shaam)’ is a tender heartwarming story about a mother-son bond that has to withstand the ravages of time, distance and truths. The movie is about a gay son, whose family is forcing him to get married. He goes on a road trip with his mother, and reveals to her that he is in love with another man. How does the mother react? The movie is about the emotional roller-coaster that the mother goes through. Watch it trailer below:
