“Conditions Apply” is a Bengali movie by Amitava Bhattacharya and depicts the life of an actress who identifies herself as “gender neutral”; an individual who exists outside the binary gender structure of male and female. The film is a journey through the physical, emotional and spiritual changes of a third gender; a protest against the society, which believes, “You are only a human being if you are male/female“. With lots of love-making scenes, the trailer is a bold one. But will it survive the Censor Board’s scissors?
