Kochi Metro has become the first metro project in India that is employing 23 transgender people. Some of them would be working at the ticket counter, while others will be working as housekeeping staff. But this also means that it will raise a lot of eyebrows among the general public, with surprise looks and constant staring at them. But they need to be made aware that transgender people are people after all.
So Kochi Metro has come out with a beautiful short video where transgender employees tell the world to treat them as “just a person doing a job”. The video has already gone viral over social media. Watch it below!
