Friends of Linger, a Delhi based band, recently released the video to their song Miss You over Youtube. The video portrays a story of two gay men in love. Their love and homosexuality is lost to society’s pressure and emphasis on marriage between a woman and a man. The video has two gay men romancing, features a peck on the cheek. But when the band went to the Censor Board of India for certification, they were awarded an A-certificate, probably because the video is about a gay couple, and the censors consider homosexuality an “adult” topic. The Censor Board had previously similarly given an A certificate for the trailer of the movie Aligarh.
