6 pack Band, India’s first transgender band, has come up with their another song along with Asha Bhosle’s grand-daughter Zanai Bhosle. Their latest song is a foot tapping Marathi number Hil Pori Hila, and the YouTube description says that there has been no use of any kind of musical instrument for the song, “Just some old tins and bins from the garage and some cups & packs from Red Label!”
Earlier, they had collaborated with Sonu Nigam and come up with a song titled Sab Rab De Bande, which showed the journey of acceptance of a transgender person in her locality.
The 6 Pack Band comprises six transgender singers hailing from India’s ‘Hijra’ community. It’s an initiative created and driven by Y-Films, the youth wing of Yash Raj Films, to help further the cause of gender equality in India.
