Poem: There’s No One

Photo by burak kostak from Pexels

No one to ask if I still feel the pain
No one to hold me when I go fall again

No one to see if I have tears in the rain
No one to bother when they drip down the drain

No turning back now ‘coz there’s no one to complain
It’s been me all along, the weak link in the chain

No one to hate and only myself to blame
And a brutal truth that it’ll never be the same

Maybe it’s true it just was a losing game
Oh, I had all the aces, but fate won it again
